Icarus

Everything PARSEC builds exists to put Icarus on the ground, upright, under its own power, and to publish what we prove on the way there. It’s our entry in the Collegiate Propulsive Lander Challenge, and the vehicle every team feeds.

Self-landing, no parachutes

Icarus is a bi‑propellant rocket burning liquid oxygen and kerosene, designed to take off, hover, translate, and land itself on its engine. Every team owns a piece of it — the ICICLE engine, the propellant feed system, the airframe, the avionics stack, and the TVC and RCS mechanisms that keep it pointed the right way down.
