Our Projects
ICARUS
Autonomous rocket-propelled lander in line with the Definity Collegiate Lander Challenge. Subsystems include the primary structure, propellant feed system, ICICLE engine, on-board controls, lander avionics, ground support equipment, and more.
Subprojects:
- RUDy: Water-cooled testbed kerolox engine
- Daedalus2: EDF-powered controls and flight software testbed
- Thrust Vector Control System (TVC): Primary means of controlling and stabilizing ICARUS, centered around a dual linear actuator design.
- Throttling System: Crucial for attempting a landing — enables variable thrust via a PID-controlled ball valve setup.
MONOLITH
First-generation liquid propellant test stand supporting RP-1/LOX engines, with tanks capable of up to 600 PSI pressurization and capacitance level sensing.
