Our Projects
ICARUS
Autonomous rocket-propelled lander in line with the Definity Collegiate Lander Challenge.
Subprojects:
- HAROLD: Main engine design
- Daedalus: EDF-powered controls and flight software testbed
- Thrust Vector Control System (TVC): Primary means of controlling and stabilizing ICARUS, centered around a dual linear actuator design.
- Throttling System: Crucial for attempting a landing — enables variable thrust via a PID-controlled ball valve setup.
MONOLITH
First-generation liquid propellant test stand supporting RP-1/LOX engines, with tanks capable of up to 600 PSI pressurization and capacitance level sensing.
MEGALITH
MONOLITH’s under-development big brother. Designed as a trailer-based, self-contained test stand supporting up to 4000 PSI. Will include built-in fire suppression and other next-generation features — the “test stand to end all test stands.”
